Day #044: A Little Is Enough

Little

There seems to be an unstated expectation that in order to make a difference or to make an impact; little won’t cut it. Well, I am here to tell you that a little is enough.

I am super keen to challenge myself in order to grow the areas in my life I am working on. At the same time as I do this, I am having to push a little harder, hustle a little longer and so on and so forth. The key here is progress over perfection. As we grow and develop our skills and how expected best, this can only be done at a single step at a time. There is no quick way to be “THE BEST” but simply and only through time and effort. The more you put in to grow and learn more, the sooner you will be.

My takings on this are you should work on lots of minimal gains, lots of little changes here and there as these are easier to do than to MAKE big changes. A perfect example is my pursuit to increase my PB running times. Each time I run I have the intent and drive to beat it a little more. However, sometimes this does not happen and I have also realized that I need to change other areas such as Exercises, training styles, mobility, strength, stride and other areas before I can continually and constantly grow my PB.

Know that a little is enough and know that it takes time. Just be willing to do and take the time for the result you want.
