Progress can be harder than we expect, but only if we make it that way. Starting a new year always brings unstated expectations and pressures due to the suggestion that everyone is working towards bettering themselves. Regardless if you are or not and regardless of it being a new year, I think we should be always trying to grow. Through growth we learn to conquer and as we conquer we learn more about who we are and what we stand for.
Progress over perfection is a way to address the race to being more but in a less intense way. Somedays we will feel like we are taking 2 steps back, but as long as we are trying to move forward, we are actually still progressing. Action will always be greater than doing nothing.
Take action today. Progress more and perfection will come.
