Day #123: The Intention To Grow

Intention

The intention to grow is self-sufficient and can be cultivated through a healthy challenge or goal setting.  When we are given a challenge which coincides with something we wish to accomplish we hit a sweet spot which will benefit us by fuelling our priorities, our motivation and focus.

However, at the same time there’s always going to be something trying to grab your attention and raise your stress levels. But you have the choice to react or to respond. The key is to get ahead and to get a handle on things before they become out of hand. Even if you are unsure of how things will play out, taking action, taking control and having something to work with, is better than simply having an idea. Cultivating, pruning and reiterating the solution to the challenge is a great way to continue to move forward, innovate and keep you honest with progression, while at the same time maintaining a growth aspect.

Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
